The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) would like to introduce you to the products and services that are offered by the GGF and its Members.
The GGF is a long established Federation with roots going back as far as 1800. Members are able to offer everything relevant to the Industry, including glazing, insulating glass units, conservatories, doors, framing, hardware, window film, curtain walling, sealants etc.
The GGF was instrumental in setting up FENSA and also runs the British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC) the window energy rating organisation which provides energy labels A-G for energy efficient windows www.bfrc.org.uk. The GGF is lobbying government to set up a ‘window scrappage’ scheme which can be accessed on the Number10 website via the GGF website www.ggf.org.uk
All GGF Members have been in business for at least 3 years, they are vetted, premises visited and accounts are checked. They have to work to the GGF Glazing Manual Standards and also work to a Code of Good Practice and Customer Charter. We offer them health and safety advice and have a full time health a safety officer advising Members on relevant issues on a regular basis. We also offer training routes for Members employees.
The GGF offers a free conciliation service to customers of Member companies should a problem arise. A consultancy service is also available for Expert Witness and reports for legal reasons.
